a friend in need is...
nothing like leaving the house at 7:30 in the morning and getting back after 9. Today I was so productive and busy at work - it was great. I went to the gym, I completed my paperwork for the Maryland course (which started yesterday), and I stayed late for a meeting that was running behind. after work, I met my friend Michael, who is moving, and helped him with some of his smaller stuff. should have worn jeans
i was running late this morning and really just wanted to throw on some jeans and run out the door. I knew my boss was going to be in Atlanta today and i didn’t have one meeting scheduled. Just to be safe, though, I put on some hideous slacks (with an unmatching shirt). now it’s 4:29 and I’m sitting in my office by myself. Even my officemate has been at an all-day conference...
it's official.

Great. I was pretty much finished with everything, but got to work on last minute details for that. Then my phone rang and...
happy saturday.
james called me this morning. After i did some things around here, we met, hopped a cab, and then had lunch in Georgetown. shopping ensued.
You must have me mistaken for Miss Rosa Parks.
– James, after I suggested we take the bus to Georgetown
dinner for one.
As promised to myself, i cooked a hot dinner tonight. I went straight from the gym to the grocery store and i picked up a few things. on the menu: Cheesy polenta squares topped with mushrooms (baby bella, cremini, and oyster) and artichoke hearts; mixed green salad. mmmmm.
chilled
Today it was so cold and windy when I walked to work that i was crying. i can’t wait to go home tonight and cook (which I haven’t done in forever), read (I’m halfway through “Skinny Bitch”), and relax (i have worked four full days this week, after all).
Now, you eat cookies and candy and have confidence that you’re loved.
– sarah, in response to my question, “now what do i do?”
