an idear
Once upon a time, a few of us tried to put together a little DC Tumblr Book Club. It ended up being only three of us who read and met (only once) and since then, one of the other members was ostracized and quit tumblr because everyone knew she was making “anonymous” racist comments on peoples’ blogs and the other also quit tumblr and doesn’t even talk to me in real life anymore. TRUE STORY. I’M A PEOPLE MAGNET.
Anyways, you know I read a lot and am always talking Chris’ ear off about what I think of the books I’m reading or how annoying the characters are or how I liked or disliked the ending and I’m thinking that I should give a book club another go so that I can chat with someone who actually knows what I’m talking about.
So. Anyone in the DC area interested? I’m not talking about a major commitment here, just meeting maybe once a month or so to chat about a book over coffee or beers or whatever. If you are, holla back and we can figure out what to read.

I find that I can’t keep commitments like this (ie reading a book is actually a commitment in my mind) unless there is some level of….commitment involved—such as this. I’d be interested.
