it’s been a hard day for all of my friends and colleagues at LivingSocial, but i find comfort in the fact that the dedicated people who were let go are smart and resilient and talented and brave and that those who remain will work together to get past this. even now, we’re a team. 

many thanks to everyone who’s texted, messaged, or emailed me.  this week, these past few actually, have been an absolute roller coaster.  a real first for me.  though i still have my job, 10% of our worldwide workforce was laid off today, including a full half of the Seattle office and three of my direct reports.  my heart is broken for them - my teammates, friends, coworkers, three of the very people i interviewed, hired, and coached - but i know they’ll be fine because they’re incredible people.  

i know i need to keep it together for everyone else, but i just need a minute.
